This video shows lawyer David Coombs reading a statement written by Pfc. Bradley Manning at a press conference outside Fort Meade after Manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

The following is a transcript of the statement read by Coombs:

The decisions that I made in 2010 were made out of a concern for my country and the world that we live in. Since the tragic events of 9/11, our country has been at war. We’ve been at war with an enemy that chooses not to meet us on any traditional battlefield, and due to this fact we’ve had to alter our methods of combating the risks posed to us and our way of life.

For comedian Charles Firth what seems to have started as a joke, or maybe a scam, has now snowballed into a full fledged art exhibit, that may have to go on without him.

Firth and friends got people like Assange, Gina Rinehart, Dr Mehreen Faruqi and others to donate a word to the Sydney Museum of Words, but now the team working with him on the exhibit has gotten rid of him after he described the project as a scam.

As most people know WikiLeaks has a large archive of information, and that information should stay available to anyone who wants it. WikiLeaks may not always be around and the information they have should not disappear. There is a program out there that would be great in helping to spread and share this information. That program is Tixati.

Tixati is a torrent client, but it also has Decentralized Sharing Channels. Those channels allow someone to share anything they want, search for stuff they want, and to chat with people. For more information about Tixati go to Tixati.com and check them out.

By Jerry Smith Nov. 11 2011

In Alexandria, Virginia yesterday, U.S. District Judge Liam O’Grady dealt a blow to Twitter and privacy advocates everywhere when he upheld Magistrate Judge Theresa Buchanan’s earlier ruling that Twitter had to give U.S. investigators the data it has on subscribers “associated with WikiLeaks”, including WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, U.S. soldier Bradley Manning, Icelandic parliamentarian Birgitta Jonsdottir, US computer researcher Jacob Appelbaum, and Dutch volunteer for WikiLeaks Rop Gonggrijp.

Prosecutors are seeking subscriber names, contact information, billing records, user activity, Internet Protocol addresses and source and destination e-mail addresses associated with the accounts, not the actual messages in them or the Twitter users who follow the accounts.
